The Water's Edge is located on the East River in Queens and is accessible via car, subway or the Water's Edge complimentary water shuttle from 34th Street & The East River. (We are currently making arrangements for a shuttle trip to be added specifically scheduled for our 7PM ceremony. Details to come.)

Driving

FROM MANHATTAN
59th St. Bridge:
Upper Level: Take 21st Street exit. Turn left onto 21st street. Go three lights to 44th drive. Make a right onto 44th Drive and proceed to river.
Lower Level: Stay to your right coming off bridge. At the third light (Jackson Avenue) make a right onto Jackson. Continue to 44th drive and make a right. Proceed to the river.

Midtown Tunnel:
Approximately 5 yards past toll booths on the right, exit at Borden Avenue. Make a right onto Borden Ave. Go 1 block and make a right onto Vernon Blvd. Follow Vernon (10) blocks to 44th Drive, make a left and proceed 1 block to the river.

Triboro Bridge:
Get off the first exit in Queens (31st Street). Make an immediate right onto 29th street. Go one block and make a right onto Astoria Blvd. Follow Astoria Blvd to 21st Street and make a left on 21st Street. Follow to 44th Drive. Make a right and proceed to river. (Approx. 2 miles)

FROM LONG ISLAND
Long Island Expressway:
Take the L.I.E West to the last exit before the midtown tunnel (Van Dam Street). Make a right onto Van Dam Street. Proceed 5 lights to Thomson Ave. and turn left. Follow to 44th Drive, turn right and proceed to river.

Grand Central Pkwy:
Take the Grand Central Parkway to the last exit before the Triboro Bridge (31st Street). Continue straight off the exit 6 lights to 21st Street. At 21st Street make a left. Follow 21st Street to 44th Drive. At 44th Drive make a right and proceed three blocks to the river.

FROM BROOKLYN
Take the BQE to exit 33 (McGuiness/ Humbolt St.) Bear left off the ramp onto McGuiness Blvd. Proceed on McGuiness, over the Pulaski Bridge. Once on the other side of the bridge you will then be on 11th Street. Proceed 10 blocks to 44th Drive. Make a left onto 44th drive. Proceed to the river.

FROM QUEENS
Take Queens Blvd to Jackson Avenue (Note: Kelly's Furniture on the Corner). Make a left onto Jackson Avenue. Go three lights and make a right onto 44th Drive. Proceed to the river.

FROM UPSTATE N.Y.
Whitestone Bridge:
Take the Whitestone Bridge onto the Grand Central Parkway West and proceed as above.

Throgs Neck Bridge:
Take the Throgs Neck Bridge to the Clearview Expressway. Follow the Clearview to the Long Island Expressway West and proceed as above.

FROM NEW JERSEY Through Manhattan:
Take the Lincoln Tunnel across town to the 59th Street (Queensboro) Bridge. Enter on 58th Street to the Upper Level.

George Washington Bridge:
Take the G.W Bridge to the Triboro Bridge and Proceed as above.

Subway

FROM BROOKLYN OR MANHATTAN
Ride the last car of the E or V train to the 23rd Street/Ely Avenue Station. When you come all the way upstairs/outside; you will be on 21th Street and 44th Drive. Walk straight up 44th Drive towards the Manhattan Skyline (which is the East River); the large Citibank Building should be behind you. (If coming from Queens/Jamaica, etc. ride the first train car, and follow the same directions.)

OR

Ride the last car of the #7 train to the 45th Road/Courthouse Square Station. When you come downstairs into the train station, go to the right clerk booth (you will see a sign for Manhattan), walk down the stairs and straight ahead on 45th Road about 2-3 blocks to Vernon Blvd. Make a right onto Vernon Blvd and walk 1 block to 44th Drive, make a left and proceed to the river/Manhattan Skyline.

Water Shuttle

You can cruise across the East River via complimentary transportation from Manhattan's East 34th Street Pier directly to the Water's Edge.
